Who We Are

We are the Gambian Association in Germany, a vibrant and committed community of Gambians living in Germany. Our association was founded with the aim of supporting our members, promoting unity and contributing to the development of our homeland, The Gambia. Whether you are new to Germany or have lived here for years, we welcome you to become part of our family and be part of a community that is there for each other.

Our Mission
- Support and help for members who face challenges in their daily lives.
- Contribute to the development of Gambia through joint initiatives and projects.
- Promote the spirit of brotherhood and unity among Gambians in Germany through social and cultural events.
- Support in the repatriation of deceased members to Gambia to ensure dignity and respect in difficult times.
- Help for members who are deported from Germany to support them in their reintegration and in starting meaningful projects in Gambia.

What We Do
- *Member Support:* We provide advice and assistance to members facing challenges such as legal issues, employment and integration.
- *Development for Gambia:* We organize fundraisers and work on projects that improve education, health and infrastructure in Gambia.
- *Social Events:* From cultural festivals to sports tournaments, we create opportunities for members to network, celebrate and strengthen their bonds.
- *Repatriation Assistance:* In the sad event of a member's death, we offer assistance in repatriating the remains to Gambia to ensure dignity and respect for the deceased and their family.
- *Reintegration Assistance:* For members who are deported from Germany, we offer support in reintegrating into Gambian society and starting meaningful projects, such as small businesses or skills development initiatives.
